JACK METHOT

President

Ashland resident since 2010. Married to Alejandra. Have two grown daughters living in Kauai, Hawaii, and Savannah Ga. Pickleball player since 2013. Graduated from San Jose State University with a BA in Geography. Five years an United States Marine Corps Naval Aviator. Worked in various military support disciplines, advanced technologies and sales including in-vehicle navigation and LiDAR. Retired aerial survey pilot.

JOHN RIHA

Vice-president

John moved to the Rogue Valley in 2010 after 25 years as a media executive in the Midwest. He enjoys a semi-retired life in Ashland and makes sure he has time for backpacking, fly fishing, and mountain biking. He was introduced to pickleball many years ago and has been addicted to the sport ever since.

NANCY SASH

Secretary

Nancy has loved living in the Rogue Valley ever since she moved here over 20 years ago. Nancy is a financial advisor specializing in retirement income strategies and financial planning. Nancy and her husband, Carl, have three children, and one adorable grandchild. Nancy is also a proud dog mom to an Australian Shepherd and a cat who thinks she’s a dog. As an avid volleyball player with a competitive spirit, Nancy naturally fell head over heels for the game of pickleball. She’s completely addicted to the sport and loves to travel for tournaments and talk strategy with anyone who will listen.

Jack Liebschutz

Treasurer

Jack is originally from the Chicago area. He lived for many years in Montana, where he started a software company, Black Mountain Software, which specializes in governmental accounting software.  He moved to Ashland with his wife, Michele, in 2014. He was introduced to Pickleball by Marty Burns shortly after arriving in Ashland. He keeps an active schedule of pickleball and yoga, while still being CEO of Black Mountain Software.

NORMAN EISENBERG

Marketing & Business Development

Played competitive tennis for many years, highlight was playing men’s doubles at nationals. Moved to the Rogue Valley in 2005. Sold my consulting company after 34 years in 2014. My wife, Susan and I are enjoying the retired life. I was introduced to pickleball in November 2016 and have loved playing ever since.

HOLLY HERMAN

Director of Communications

A southern Oregon native, Holly now lives in Medford with her husband and 3 year old daughter. She started her private tutoring business in 2009 and has a Master’s Degree in Teaching from SOU. Holly discovered pickleball about 10 years ago and it has become huge part of her life. She also enjoys camping, backpacking, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends.

DAVID JOHNSON

Director of Player Development

Originally from Southern California, David and his wife, Sabrina, moved to Grants Pass with their four kids in 2005, where he and Sabrina ran Pickleball at the YMCA for seven years. David is an IPTPA Certified Pickleball Teaching Professional, with nine years experience coaching high school and middle school track & field and cross country athletes. Prior to that, David drove race cars for over 20 years, and was a high-performance driving instructor for several racing schools.

DOUG GODWIN

Director at Large

Doug and his wife Kay have lived in Ashland since 2009.  He has a degree in Urban Planning/Environmental Studies.  He lived in Los Angeles and the San Francisco bay area about 45 years.  Played tennis in school, owned a sport shop and taught tennis for many years. Doug worked in the wine industry and was sales manager for Sebastiani Vineyards in Sonoma California. He also worked in the healthcare industry for 25 years as a contract negotiator. Now retired, he likes films, taking OLLI classes at SOU and enjoys all the benefits of living in Ashland.  Pickleball is his passion and loves to help players increase their skill level.
